Multi-channel retailer Wolf & Badger has been awarded B Corporation status for its social and environmental practices.
This makes the retailer the UK’s first online marketplace to receive B Corp status, the company revealed.
Wolf & Badger is an online retailer of jewellery, also selling fashion and homeware products. Founded in 2010, the business has physical stores in New York and London.
The company said it has over 1,000 designers on its platform, all of whom are dedicated to maintaining ethical and transparent business practices.
This comes after Wolf & Badger launched a set of sustainability guarantees last year before being named Draper’s Sustainable Retailer of the Year 2020.
George Graham, CEO and co-founder of Wolf & Badger, commented: “We are immensely proud to join such an incredible community of forward-looking business leaders who share our long-standing dedication to responsible business.
“The B Corp certification reflects our wider commitment to help promote a sustainable future for retail and to provide a fair and more conscious alternative for both customers and brands alike.
“We are excited to continue driving positive change in the fashion and design industry, and look forward to further developing the Wolf & Badger business as a force for good.”
The platform includes jewellery brands such as Auree and Buff Jewellery.
