Tickets for Wongs Jewellers annual Winter Ball have completely sold out as clients, trade professionals and celebrities help the jeweller raise money for Alder Hey Children’s charity.

The second annual ball will welcome more than 200 guests to The Venue, inside the iconic Royal Liver Building, for a night of fine dining and entertainment on Wednesday November 29.

At the inaugural ball in 2016, TV presenter Melanie Sykes, former Brookside and X-Factor star Ray Quinn, Olympian Beth Tweddle and Hollyoaks stars Jessica Fox and Tamara Wall joined Alder Hey staff to fundraise for the hospital’s charity.

The guests invited to this year’s ball are top secret for now and will be announced in November but Wongs Jewellers, who have been designing and creating bespoke jewellery in Liverpool for more than 50 years, have promised more glamour will be added this year.

Last year, a whopping £40,000 was raised and Wongs are hoping to raise even more money this year. The event is being sponsored for the second time by Carat* London.

Peter Wong, the managing director of Wongs Jewellers, shares: “We are delighted to be bringing our glamourous event in aid of Alder Hey Children’s Hospital back for a second year. The charity is very close to our hearts.

“Alder Hey Children’s Hospital provides vital services for the people of Liverpool, the North West and indeed the whole country so we are hugely proud to have been able to give something back. The staff at the hospital do incredible work caring for the children and their families during very difficult circumstances and we are incredibly thankful for all the hard work and commitment of the staff.”
