The third annual Wongs Winter Ball raised £29,100 for Alder Hey Children’s Charity.

Over the last three years, the Liverpool-based jewellery retailer has raised a grand total of £121,389 for the local charity with its Winter Ball that snapped up the Most Innovative Customer Event of the year accolade at the 2018 Professional Jeweller Awards.

The third annual ball welcomed 200 guests, including industry professionals, to The Venue, inside the iconic Royal Liver Building in Liverpool, for a night of fine dining and entertainment on December 5.

Radio City Host, Simon Ross ‘Rossy’, was the compare for the evening, with other special guests including soap stars and local celebrities.

Throughout the night, Wongs presented several opportunities to raise money for the charity – including a live auction, and raffle.

“The third annual ball has been an incredible success and we have once again raised an amazing amount of money for Alder Hey Children’s Charity,” shares Wongs Jewellers managing director, Peter Wong.

“The service the charity and the hospital provide is much needed and it’s heart-breaking but also uplifting to hear some of the stories about what they do. The charity is very close to our hearts after the Alder Centre supported our family through the loss of my brother David back in 1995.’’

The money raised by Wongs will support the development of the charity’s new bereavement suite, The Alder Centre, which will go on to support many families through some of their most difficult times.
