Bijorhca Paris will showcase new jewels and innovations from January 23 2015.

Bijorhca Paris and Printor to create single, unified event in January.

French jewellery trade shows Printor Lyon and Bijorhca Paris have announced a new alliance, forming one larger trade show for fine and fashion jewellery and watch brands.

The two shows have co-existed for more than a decade, but in recent years the shows’ exhibitors have indicated that they would like to see greater synergy between the shows "to improve efficiency".

As a result, the shows’ respective organisers, GL Events and Reed Expositions France, will be joining forces to give French and international manufacturers, designers, retailers and buyers a single, unified event covering all the industry sectors.

From January 2014, Printor exhibitors will have its own dedicated area at Bijorhca Paris, Porte de Versailles.

Marc Neciolli, director of GL Events Exhibitions Paris, said: “For 22 years, Printor’s high-quality offer and strong partnerships have positioned it as the key player and must-attend event for France’s fine jewellery and watchmaking industry.

"The market is now mature and has become more concentrated, bringing together all the retail channels and specifiers. We have reorganised our event to keep pace with these developments."

According to Neciolli, the merger of the two shows to form one larger event follows similar occurrences across Europe.

Bijorhca Paris deputy and artistic director Richard Martin said: "I very much welcome this new alliance, which I am certain will be good news for all market sectors. Reed Expositions will build on the individual strengths of each show, combining their experience and know-how to create the number one event for fine and fashion jewellery, watchmaking, and affiliated sectors. January and September 2014 will see Bijorhca Paris become the industry’s leading international event in Paris.”

The show will take place between January 24 to 27 2014, and September 8 to 6 2014.
