Louis Vuitton has unveiled the next chapter in its Deep Time High Jewelry collection, continuing an epic journey through history.
Deep Time Chapter II is the fifth High Jewelry collection designed by artistic director for watches and jewellery, Francesca Amfitheatrof.
This chapter welcomes 50 new one-of-a-kind pieces, set across 10 themes of new interpretations and complementary designs – all narrated through the most extraordinary gemstones.
Amfitheatrof said: “With this second chapter of Deep Time, we continue the story of this most beautiful, poetic collection that symbolises a vast and incredible storyline.”
The collection has been designed to propel wearers to a time when Earth was populated by two supercontinents, Gondwana and Laurasia.
Yellow diamonds and contrasting metals – an Amfitheatrof signature – bring the Laurasia necklace to life.

The seismic evolutions which transform the planet have inspired the Drift necklace, meanwhile, the multiplication of cells is replicated in DNA-like jewels in the Myriad piece.

Symbiosis is a new theme for Deep Time, inspired by the first land-bound ecosystems of the planet, such as fungi and mycelium.

The narrative of the evolution of life follows through into Fossils, which blooms and flourishes with Plants.

A more literal interpretation from Chapter I, Plants is embodied by a transformable necklace set with leaves crafted from over 400 custom-cut emeralds and diamonds.
Another new theme for Deep Time is Skin, which celebrates the Umba sapphire whose distinct pink and orange tones are paired with pink gold in graphic compositions.

The suite sets the scene for Bones, Seeds, and Flower, which come together to personify the sophistication and refinement of Deep Time’s final chapter.
