Digital innovations are a huge part of our business and going digital is something we were admittedly late to get involved with. Since the launch of our website and trade Hub, www.rivermounts.com, in 2018 we have taken a very different approach.

Each year we push for new features, products and ways of working digitally to enable our customers to work seamlessly with us to better their business.

When our website first launched, it was a simple stock look-up tool. Nothing complicated, just useful. However, it turned out it was only simple if you knew what you wanted. We then created design finders, starting with engagement ring mounts, and later adding eternity rings, jewellery finders etc. We’ve recently added even more finders and categories, to further streamline the customer journey and offer greater awareness to our customers of our extensive product offering.

Front-end change was not the only thing we did, we added back-office tools. Statements, invoice history, consignment lists, digital catalogues, retailer branding mode etc. The list continues, with regular changes, updates, and new features. Not to mention our new platform Showcase, our most streamlined and user-friendly platform to date.

When we talk about digital innovation, of course, everyone thinks ‘website’, however, that’s only the beginning for River Mounts. Since 2019, we’ve been using QR codes in our catalogues to link physical sales tools with digital support platforms, making stock checking easier and quicker than ever before. We’re fans of big data and analytics, using our analytical tools to make calculated decisions and support customers with data insights. What shapes or sizes are selling best, what combinations of metals are on trend, what areas of the business can we support growth in and what areas are already outstanding? This knowledge level, combined with award-winning customer service, has led to our strong growth in the jewellery industry.
