Two fashion powerhouses, Tiffany and Dior, have unveiled simultaneously similar and wildly unique timepieces. Think: pink, stars, and diamonds.

The shining designs show what happens when horology meets haute couture.

As the popularity of designs that dazzle as much on the wrist as they might in a necklace or earrings rises, Tiffany and Dior are responding with more diamonds, more gemstone setting, more artistry, and more storytelling.

First up is Tiffany & Co. with ‘The Starfish,’ a watch unveiled as part of the Blue Book 2025: Sea of Wonder collection.

The limited edition timepiece is a tribute to the work of visionary designer Jean Schlumberger, drawing inspiration from a pearl and diamond Starfish brooch fresh out of the Tiffany archives.

On the dial, two rotating starfish sit surrounded by a diamond outer ring. Ensuring the watch shines as brightly as possible, the case is also fully snot-set using round full-cut diamonds of different sizes.

The caseback also features an engraved sunburst pattern inspired by Schlumberger’s Floral Arrows brooch.

A total of 891 round diamonds totaling nearly 6 carats make up this timepiece, paired with an alligator red strap.

Calling upon the expertise of the Swiss, a self-winding movement manufactured in the watchmaking capital powers the watch.

The 39mm model features a classic time-setting and winding crown which was designed in homage to the Tiffany Setting, made famous by the House’s diamond solitaire engagement rings, and features a prong-set solitaire diamond of over 0.47 carats.

Following the same diamond-set path, Dior has released the ‘Grand Bal Cirque de Monsieur Dior’ timepiece.

While Tiffany drew inspiration from the sea, this maison is exploring the wonders on land, creating a watch inspired by the world of the circus.

This marks a new chapter in the Dior Grand Bal collection with designs that “swirl like a ball gown.”

The watch features a Dior Inversé” calibre and functional oscillating weight on top of the dial.

Dior says it was created with “strict aesthetic requirements” to ensure it echoed the ball-like grandeur and complications of Christian Dior’s designs.

Continuing the ‘diamonds are a girl’s best friend’ trend, the watch is adorned with diamonds, pink mother-of-pearl and colourful gemstones.

A translucent purple sapphire crystal caseback with pink gold-colored metallisation on the stars takes the circus theme to the next level.

Slightly smaller than Tiffany’s offering, the watch has a 36mm case, 30 meters of water resistance, and a pink patent calfskin strap.
