Radiant-cut diamond engagement rings are rising in popularity this year, thanks to Zendaya.

Diamonds Factory has reported that searches for ‘radiant cut diamonds’ increased by 33% so far in 2025, generating 70,000 searches in the past month alone.

The spike comes after fans spotted a radiant-cut diamond ring on Zendaya’s finger at the Golden Globes, signalling her engagement to fellow actor Tom Holland.

Radiant-cut diamonds are rectangular or square-shaped stones with trimmed corners, known for their unique facet pattern that maximises light reflection.

Experts are forecasting that they will dominate the wedding market this year, already proving popular ahead of summer.

Ella Citron-Thompkins, a specialist at Diamonds Factory, said: “Radiant-cut diamonds have a unique blend of timeless elegance and modern appeal.

“As more couples seek distinctive, yet brilliant alternatives to traditional cuts, the radiant’s versatility—combining the sparkle of a round diamond with the geometric shape—makes it a standout choice.

“The increasing popularity of custom and personalised jewellery designs is driving demand for radiant cuts, which offer a bold, eye-catching look that can be tailored to individual tastes, whilst incorporating your personal style.

“Thanks to celebrities like Zendaya, we forecast radiant-cut diamonds to be a huge focal point for proposals in 2025.”
